EARTH SILENCE SERIES (DECOMPOSE . EVAPORATION. FUSION)

These Earth Silence Series were created during the lockdown. Most of us have been through many challenges and changes these years. Change is the law of nature, which brings us truth and hope. When all the languages, words, and tears are so pale and feeble, at this moment, only silence is golden, only love is true. Listen to the silence of earth where the truth has ever been.

I used mixed materials in this series, Chinese ink, acrylics, watercolours, and oil sticks…The soft yet tough traces of Chinese brushes are inspired by the earth’s landscape, the free pure colours are nature’s reflection, and the reconstructed bright lines are the weaving of human beings. All of it, order and disorder, all grows and changes in silence at the present.

‘When I am painting, I am converting a three-dimensional world onto a two-dimensional surface. In an abstract world, rules and definitions are broken down, my imagination and feelings are bringing true colours and shapes to a new world that is full of freedom…’ This is how I feel when I developed my painting style from traditional Chinese brush ink Painting to contemporary abstract painting.
